Brief Answer:
Most probably not a heart-related issue.

Detailed Answer:
Greetings and thank You for Your query! I read and understood your concern.

A heart-related chest pain has other features than the ones You have described. It tends to happen during exercise, it feels like a crushing pain and/or tightness on the mid-chest area, which radiates to both sides of the chest, jaw and/or left arm or both arms, and goes away bu stopping the exercise.

Your symptom may be stress-related, but also, many times, it comes due to assuming certain positions, or changing positions abruptly, since the ribs may pinch one of the muscles between them (intercostal muscles), or any nerve(s). The arm tingling may be stress-related and caused by hormonal changes, which are activated upon stress, both physical and psychological.

My opinion is that there is nothing to be worried about this symptom. However, regarding your age (female > 55 years of age), I would recommend a routine cardiac check-up, if you hadn’t have one in the last year, consisting in: monitoring your blood pressure, an electrocardiogram (EKG) and an ultrasound of the heart (echocardiogram), and, if recommended by your cardiologist, a cardiac stress test (ergometry).

I hope You find my answer helpful. If You have other questions regarding Your problem, feel free to follow-up.

Best regards,
Dr. Meriton
