Question: Hi, I am a 18 years old girl and I woke up with tightness on my left chest. I also woke up with shoulder pain and discomfort on the left side. I’m nervous that I may potentially have a heart attack. I woke up at 7:30 and still have chest pain till now 2:44.

After going through the medical query raised by you I can understand your concern for your symptoms and I would like to tell you that although the possibility of having a heart attack in your particular scenario because of female gender and language is very less but it’s important to get yourself evaluated because of the typical symptoms which you are experiencing.

Kindly visit an ER nearby as soon as possible and get an ECG done.

So I did get my ECG done and they stated that I have borderline ECG and I’ve had chest pains for a couple months now, usually sharp pains but today it was more pressure-like.
