Question: Hi Dr could you please explain my seminal fluid results? The details are as follows: Appearnace normal (grey opalescent), total volume 1.5 ml, pH 8.5, viscosity abnormal, motility progressive 20%, non-progressive 13%, immotile 68%, sperm concentration 137 million/ml, sperm morphology 6%. I would be grateful if you could explain in simpe terms how this result translate to getting my wife pregnant. Thank you very much.

Hello,
thanks for the query,
you have asthenozoospermia with progressive motility only 20% ( should be more than 60-70%) , immotile should be less than 10 percent. However the counts are fine and also the morphology less than 8 %, so you would need to be treated with antibiotics, antioxidants and sperm energisers.
