Question: Hi Doctor, we have been bathing my 35 days old baby boy with boiled tap water so far and we have observed he's loosing his color(compared to when he's born). and we are planning to use boiled mineral water instead of boiled tap water as we heard that that will make him get a bit more color. is this true that using boiled mineral water for bathing to get good color for babies?

Brief Answer:
Depends on tds of tap water

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Tap water can cause change in color if tds and dissolved minerals are more.
I would suggest you to use boiled mineral water or direct RO water for bathing.
It may not improve color a lot, but will make sure that no extra darkening happens.
Wishing your child good health
