Question: Hi Doctor. Please advise how to reduce weight significantly. My face is bloated and a lot of fat is visible on the gut. If you could please suggest diet and supplements that mag help in shredding weight for a lean body.

Worthwhile getting some basic tests to rule out some illness as cause of weight gain like sugar fasting, tsh, sr cortisol and creatinine after consulting with your doctor.
Most of the times weight gain is related to your dietary intake, calorie burning and your genetic make up.
So a combination of reduced intake of calories and excess burning of calories will help you to loose weight.
Try following things
1) avoid excess oily fatty food and also reduce carbohydrate (sweet etc) intake in your food increase protein and fiber intake instead like fruits, salads eggs fish etc if ok with you.
2) reduce the volume of diet you take each time
3) drink plenty of water with diet which will help you to reduce appetite and thus intake
4) exercise regularly make a slow steady start and increase it gradually.
5) avoid supplements for weight loss as they may cause side effects and may be habit forming too
6) slow steady and sustained weight loss is important
