Question: Hi Doctor,
My wife is 33 years old. In the past week, she noticed slight bleeding from gums at 2-3 places in her mouth. There is no associated pain.

She used Betadine gargle for 1-2 days and the blood is not visible now.
Could you please suggest what could be the cause of this bleeding and what shall she do though it is not seen now but, it happened 2-3 times in past one week.

Please suggest.

Regards,

Brief Answer:
Might be Gum infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for writing to us..

Well , one of the most common cause for gum bleeding is gum infection also known as Gingivitis..

As she noticed bleeding 2-3 times, you should once get her teeth and gums clinically checked by a Dentist..

If needed cleaning of teeth can be done.

Please let me know if you have more questions.
