Question: Hi Doctor, My name is Amit and am 42 years old. Since I was a child, I have faced itching in my anus. I took some medicines in childhood and it stopped. However, for the last one month, it has started again. Can you ease let me know the medicines that I need to take and it's course.

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

Let me know if you have constipation or diarrhea frequently ?Do you have hemorrhoids or warts?
Have abdominal pain? Do you eat more sweets and outside foods frequently?

Usually anal itching is caused due to worm infestations like pinworms or yeast infection.
Anal itching is also predominant in hemorrhoids , warts, anal fisurre.

Besides these reasons even use of any harsh soaps or other perfumed products may cause anal itching.

I don't have any of the above habits. I am experiencing anal itching for many years. Hence, I request you to please prescribe medicines and it's course.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply..

You can take Tab Albendazole 400 mg at night single dose and repeat same after 1 week again . Locally you can apply Anoac ointment.

Kindly maintain proper hygiene of anal region do not use harsh chemicals . Always keep the area clean and dry. Wear loose cotton clothes.
