Hi Dr., the scan is regarding the one taken 3/29/2019. Images that you can look at are image 50, 51, 52 and coronal image 81, 82. The surgeon told my uncle, it is mostly likely scar from surgery in had on 10/2017. This is image 81,

I believe which is representing. 2.6 x 2.3 x 2.2 image that you will probably see on image 81, On cat scan it states New Heterogeneous soft tissue density in the region of the pancreatic tail resection which is abutting the kidney, Recurrent disease or possibly pancreatitis is considered.

Doctor, did not due any more test such as a pet scan, to make sure it was definitely scar from the resection surgery removing a tumor from bioduct, and tumor from tail of pancreas.

I want to know if you can tell if it is a tumor on tail of pancreas on cat scan on 3/29/2019.

Unfortunately, cat scan on 6/10/2019 states it has grew to 5.6 cm x 2.3 x 2.2 on tail of pancreas, and spread to the liver with two tumor measuring 9 mm each.

In closing, I want to know if you notice that the growth is cancerous, in which it is.

Unfortunately, it is to late for my uncle. The Oncologist told me, that he only has about 6 months.

Thank you very much

Brief Answer:
It was looking like a cancer but difficult to operate even previously

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in with details.

I reviewed the images as requested by you and retrospectively the lesion in scan don 29-03-2019 is likely adherent to the fasica over the upper pole of left kidney and is causing a mild bulge and this raises the doubt of infiltration of the left kidney capsule.

In view of above findings, I would have a suspicion of cancer in the tail area of pancreas.

However please do not feel disheartened as even if it was taken as a cancer in the 29-03-2019 scan even then doing a surgery in the tail area to remove the lesion was difficult as there was infiltration of the left kidney capsule.

The liver lesions are tiny and can be controlled in some cases with chemotherapy.

When we talk about how long a one can live with a pancreas cancer, most patients live no longer than 6 months after detection. I pray that all cases of cancer pancreas have a long survival. Your uncle must be strong and having will power to fight the disease for so long and I wish him a survival as long achievable with support and care.

Hi, I want to thank you so much for spending so much time on this case. It has been a long and frustrating time for my family. I am praying and hoping, that these supplements can shrink these tumors, and stop the continuous growth of the cancer in the body. I am only fooling myself, and there has to be a miracle that these supplements will help. I have him in taking 10,000 units of Vitamin D every day, and 175 mg of cbd hemp capsules, 5 capsules at 35 mg. to maybe slow down the spreading. This is not possible, and 100% will not do anything. Once again, thank you very much for all of your guidance and help, and answering all these questions. I wish you good health and happiness. You are a great doctor. Thank you.
