Question: Hi Doc, I have been experiencing waking up from my sleep any time I fall asleep with feeling my heart beating and once I get up it turns to normal after a few relaxing breaths. I had ekg's and plenty of blood work all normal. They said this could be panic. could this be panic?

Brief Answer:
As explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I have gone through the details. When the investigations are normal it is most likely due to stress/anxiety, too much caffeine, alcohol, energy drinks or too much sugar. Eating too many sweets or high in carbohydrates before bed can cause palpitations.

If everything is ruled then yes, it can be due to panic.

I hope this answered your query.
