Question: Hi Doc,

I had my general health check done.

And the report shows that Vitamin D, 25

Hydroxy test as deficient.(5.3 ng/ml)

Can you please review and suggest vitamin D supplements.

Attached result.

Hi
Thanks for your query.

The reports shows that you have low vitamin D levels. Also get you rblood calcium levels checked. If calcium is also low then you will need supplements for both vitamin D and calcium.

You can take the following dose for vitamin D:
Vitamin D 60,000 IU once weekly for 1 month
Then continue vitamin D 1000 IU twice a week for 2 month.

Recheck after 3 months.

Vitamin D is available in many brands like Calcirol XXXXXXX D rise XXXXXXX etc.
