Question: Hello, my right testicle suddenly started hurting. It's a pulsing pain but I wasn't injured in any way so I'm unsure what could be causing it. I feel a hard lump.

Brief Answer:
Possible partial torsion

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome. This should not be ignored since it may indicate complete or partial torsion and this is emergency. It may occur even without trauma and this is worst scenario which should be ruled out in ER especially if there is increasimg pain, nausea or redness. Ultrasound should be done and if this is torsion it may need surgery. Less serious diagnosis is epididimitis which is common and it does not require surgery but only antibiotics however it can also be differentiated from torsion only with ultrasound. Wish you good health. Regards
