Question: Hello hoping to get some advice I am a 50 year old women with slight gingivitis.. but menupause has made my gums very sensitive and inflamed they tend to bleed even if I chew something hard … I currently started using the water pick and flossing in the morning as well as rinsing my mouth with salt water 3 x a day I had a cleaning 3 weeks ago and due again this week for another is there anything I can do to make them less sensitive

Along with doing salt water rinses and water pik you should also start doing antiseptic mouthwash gargle twice a day.
You should also massage the gums with Chlorhexidine gel gently.
Avoid eating hard foods. Eat soft foods.

I am trying to get into see my dentist today to get a round of antibiotics so I can the. Attend my cleaning should u get a scaling done if that part of ur gum is infected or wait for that to clear up
