Hello Doctor, My Father Had Developed Some Boils In Clusters
Question: Hello doctor,
My father had developed some boils in clusters of 3 and 4 over his right arm, right hand etc. He also experienced pain. We have got it checked with doctor on 24th Dec and the doctor diagnosed it as Herpes. My father is aged around 64 and is diabetic and the doctor has told this is the reason for re-emergence of Chicken Pox virus in the form of Herpes.
We have 2 children at home, elder boy is 2 years and 7 months old and the younger boy is an infant who just turned 3 months. Before the disease was identifed my dad helped us with chores of both the kids. He was in physical contact with kids until yesterday where we reaffirmed with the doctor who said Herpes is contagious.
Please suggest if there is any preventive measure we can take now you ensure that both kids do not catch this virus. Kindly guide us with next steps.
