Question: Hello,
My wife has notalgia paresthetica and brachial radial pruritic. Have had limited luck with capscacin and aspercreme with lidocaine as well as sarma lotion and pramoxine hydrochloride cream. Can you suggest anything else? PT or chiropratic? Thanks very much.

Brief Answer:
Physical therapy may help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to" Ask a Doctor " service.

I have read your query and here is my advice.

In some cases, nostalgia paresthetica may be linked with degenerative cervical spine disease.

In such cases, besides dermatological symptomatic treatment, additional treatment possibilities for degerative spine disease ( physical therapy, antineuralgic drugs use, corticosteroids, or in some cases, surgery ) may improve the symptoms of nostalgia paresthetica too.

X-rays and MRI of the cervical spine are necessary to evaluate properly this relationship.

I think that physical therapy may help.

Other possible treatment ways even if there is no connection with degerative spine disease include gabapentin, acupuncture, Botox injections, etc.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
