Hello, I Just Came Back From An Eye Clinic And

Question: Hello, I just came back from an eye clinic and they told me that I have a lesion on the inside of my upper eyelid. For the past two days it has been bleeding twice a day from the right eye; only traces of blood from the left eye. There is no local eye surgeon to do a biopsy, so the clinician told me to wait for 12 days until the doctor comes here from another island. If I wait will the lesion get bigger? Will it bleed more often and in larger amounts? Will this get worse if I wait?

Brief Answer:
It could be a chalazion due to a gland obstruction

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.

It could be a chalazion from gland obstruction or a stye due to gland infection. If it pains then it is mostly a stye and if it doesnt it is mostly a Chalazion.

When ruptured both can bleed a little. I don't think it should get any bigger in 12 days but chances of bleeding are more and you should get it surgically removed to get complete releif.

Hope my answer helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards

I don't think it's a chalazion because there is very little swelling and it's not a stye because there's no pain. I looked at pictures of a chalazion.... they seem to be mostly on the outside of the eyelid. My lesion is on the inside of my upper eyelid.
I've had many styes during my life and I can recognize it immediately. And it hasn't been bleeding a little... sometimes it's been bleeding a lot; heavily for more than 30 seconds sometimes.
Did you consult with any other doctors about my condition? So far, I'm not very satisfied with your conclusions. They don't seem to apply to my condition.
