Hello, I Had HPV 5 Years Ago With Warts ,

Question: Hello,

I had HPV 5 years ago with warts, after two years the warts went away and never resurfaced again.
I have had unprotected sex with a few girls but they never got warts. But in someway they are infected right?

And the only way to know someone has HPV is through PAP test, correct?

After the last time I've had sex with these girls, I have done blood test and I am negative for HBsAG , ANTI HBS , HIV (1 &2) Anijen/Antikor , ANTI HCV

My main question, Does HPV show up for any kind of urine, blood or virology tests?

And from the blood test results that I am negative for, What are other STD's that could show up in urine, blood or virology tests?

Thank you
doctor

Brief Answer:
Regarding STDs

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have reviewed your query and noted your concern.

Genital HPV infection type can be detected with a PCR test performed on material collected through genital swabs. Other than the blood tests that you underwent I would suggest a ELISA for HSV type 1&2. It is a blood test. A urine spot test is commonly used to screen for gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Hello Dr. Kakkar S.,

If I had gonorrhea or/and chlamydia, I would have noticed its symptoms in the span of 2/3 years, correct? None of the described symptoms has been experienced.

What does a virology test mean exactly? The one I went through? are those just the results?

Hi.
Though mostly acute and symptomatic in males, gonorrhea and chlamydia can be asymptomatic and chronic..The virology tests implies to the tests for hepatitis B and hepatitis C that you were screened for.
Take care.
