Question: Hello
I am a female, age 30. I am married, and a housewife.
I am having a lower back issue for 1 year and I have consulted with an orthopedic, and dr suggested me some tablets and suggested me to yoga.
So I started doing yoga and I was feeling better after that, but due to lockdown, I was unable to go to my yoga center and yoga was stopped.
Recently that pain started again. and it's too severe now, I am unable to walk or stand for long.
I am attaching my x-ray reports and prescription of my last doctor visit which is one year old.
Please suggest some treatment or any type of braces or belt.
Also please suggest do's and don'ts.
Thanks in advance.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

Do you have any pain from your back going down to your legs or feet?

Any numbness or pins and needles sensation?

I have read your query and viewed the attached images of your prescriptions and xray.

It appears like you do not have any significant damage to the bones of your spine. The back pain could be due to possible stiffness or muscle strain.

The medication is also alright.

It's best to apply warm wet heat to the back. A warm shower, warm wet cloth fomentation will help. You can do some stretching exercises as seen on YouTube for low back strengthening exercises.

Avoid bending forward from standing position or lifting heavy objects.

Physiotherapy will help in the form of TENS or SWD therapy. Do find out from your local practice.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Thanks and regards,

Aashish Raghu
