Question: Hello, I am a 34 year old male. I don't have any major health problem, however, when I have my meals (Lunch or Dinner), I feel uncomfortable and my stomach feels like full of gases even if I eat very less quantity also. It's like bloating and causing my feel uncomfortable. I don't get acidity, it's just the gases. Could you please recommend me what should I be doing after having my meals? And if there are any specific diet plans for me. Thank you.. Regards, Abdul Baasit

Brief Answer:
Gastritis most likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir
Thank you for asking ask a doctor service.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to inflammation of stomach mucosa (gastritis). Therapy with proton pump inhibitors and a non irritable diet will be helpful to get relief from the condition
You can take proton pump inhibitors like Esomeprazole (Nexium) daily empty stomach in morning for 4 weeks. Avoid spicy fatty greasy foods. Prefer steamed foods and avoid fried ones. Avoid carbonated drinks chocolates and coffee. Take food at 4 to 6 hour intervals. Over eating also should be avoided. Ginger and mint tea will be soothing. Avoid lying down or sleep straight after having food also.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
