Brief Answer:
Can be due to overstimulation of vagus nerve.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there and thanks for follow up,
See as am telling you from a very long time that gastritis if not caused by bacteria is a lifestyle problem.
Are you an anxious personality?
Do you think too much?
There is a nerve called vagus nerve. When a person is a sort of Type A personality( which as per science is top most personality but It has been seen that as brain keeps on working all time hence indirectly it stimulates the vagus nerve which causes secretion of huge amount of acids and also causes reflux).

So before giving any solution I would like to ask you a few queries-

Do you think too much?
Do you consider yourself an anxious personality / do you feel you have anxiety issues?
Do same thoughts comes to your mind again and again repeatedly?
And what is your diet schedule as off now?
Smoking or alcohol is there?
Waiting for reply.

Brief Answer:
Follow up.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Thinking too much stimulates the vagus nerve which causes increased secretion of acid in stomach. Infact this is the most underated cause of chronic gastritis.
Mst of the doctor neglect it.
I would suggest you to take lactium a natural supplement to keep your mind away from overthinking and note the changes.
As it's a natural supplement it may take some days before it kicks in other wise a SSRI like Paroxetine 12.5 mg could be taken for 3 months to note the change.

What do you think about..As you have written over thinking yes....See when ever you start thinking brain signals spine and autonomous nerves get stimulated.
Can you elaborate the thoughts.
See very few doctor would ask you this query but overthinking stimulated vagus nerve and autonomous nervous system and usually cause problems like gastritis,IBS etc.
Waiting for reply.

Thank you for your insightful response.
My hobby from age 24 has been stock markets and I then became a professional money manager. Last 28 years I am semi retired and only manage my own investments. I am a long term investor holding stocks for 5 years on average. Except in periods of serious market decline, my stock holdings do not bother me but I think about them. I have constantly improved my understanding and that is what the thinking is about. Mostly it is positive thinking.
For the stool test, I had stopped pepcid for 4 weeks but was taking probiotics every day. Can that mess up stool test results because the blood test showed AGA antibodies some what high but still in neutral range.

Brief Answer:
Follow up.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,.Great to know that you invest in stock markets..As off now what are your opinion for next 2 years as FED has said that they have to bring inflation to 2% by 2024.
Nasdaq already down by 35%,Dow also the same.
What is your opinion on recession.I too am a long term invester but now I do it just for time pass.
Initially you were talking about gastritis so you have to take pepcid their is nothing wrong in taking an antacid.
Pre and probiotics never mess up with stools rather they help in improving gut flora and making motions good and easy.
Thank,

Hi Dr XXXXXXX
As compared to interest rates,I am positive on the stock market over the next 2 years. 50 percent chance of mild recession. Most important to keep long term focus. Over the next 12 years, corporate profits should double and so should the market. Plus you get dividends.
I do not need to take pepcid anymore. I take Previlli which is a dietary supplement with prebiotics, probiotics and something for the structure of the gut. With that, my stomach is fine.
What do you think of Previlli (please see on internet). Could it affect stool test results from positive to negative. I was taking Previlli before stool test also.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Off course yes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Off course yes the prebiotic would reach your gut and would provide good bacteria's and hence the bad ones would be eliminated and stool test would show no bacteria.
Thanks!
