Question: Hello Doctor. Am a 29 year old female. Of late, I've been getting frequent tonsils infection..mostly like white spots n little soreness. I had 3 times this year itself.. It will go away on its own within a week. I had been taking antibiotics too. For the last ten days, I did not have any problem. Now, I felt some soreness inside the mouth. My lips also burning sensation is there. When I checked inside the mouth, I saw reddish spots/rashes on the roof of mouth and some 2 red spots inside right cheek as well. A part of my tongue also has yellow n whitish shade... Can you please tell me what could be the cause? But am not having a sore throat. m fed of recurring tonsil inflections... I've attached images also.

Brief Answer:
Aphthous ulcers

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM
I have seen the pictures attached and read your complaints.
The lesions on the oral mucosa are oral ulcers that can be due to bad oral hygiene or chronic throat infections like chronic tonsillitis in your case or some multivitamin deficiency or some systemic disease like diabetes.
My advice is you should use oral rinse and apply a clotrimazole oral mouth paint 4 to 5 times a day.
Take a multivitamin supplement once daily.
Maintain oral hygiene and drink plenty of water.
Get blood sugar levels done and tell me.
For chronic tonsillitis, it is advisable to go for tonsillectomy if the infection is recurrent.

Any other queries are always welcome.
Take care.
