Hello Doc, Am A 28 Year Old Female And On

Question: Hello Doc, am a 28 year old female and on 3 months postpartum. Also am hypothyroid for 2 years. Till 8th month of pregnancy, my thyroid levels were well managed. I was taking 88 mcg at that time. I continued the same dose after delivery till 2 months postpartum. I should have checked my thyroid levels post delivery but did not have time. Last month, I had my thyroid levels checked, at that time the tsh was 0.05, T4 was 15.4, ATG was 139 and TPO was greater than 1300. These were the results for thyroid levels and antibodies that my doctor ordered. He ordered a scan also, the result of which he said that it is nothing to worry about. I've attached the scan report. He then reduced my dosage from 88 mcg to 75 mcg and asked me to come for a followup after a month. Now, after a month of taking 75 mcg of eltroxin, my results are what I attached... I'm shocked to find my tsh is below 0.01 inspite of taking a reduced dose for a month. I would like to get your opinion on this. Is there anyother hidden problem?? Why is my tsh not improving inspite of taking a reduced dose for a month?? Please review the scan report and this report as well. Thank you. My present total T4 is 14.9 and total T3 is 2.47. Rest of the values are there in the attachment.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be post partum thyroiditis

Detailed Answer:
dear madam, it appears to be a case of post partum thyroiditis. you need to stop thyroxine for 6 weeks repeat TSH AND FT4 after 6 weeks and let
me know. your reports and scan are suggestive of this.
regards!
