Question: Hello,
3 years ago I had disc issues of the L5-S1 area. I ha e been on gabapentin and Advil since then. I received two steroid injections 3 years ago and up until about 2-3 mo this ago my back was fine. It would “flare up” about 2 - 3 times a year for 5-7 days but never as bad as it was before the injections. However, now I am having the bullseye pain in my lower back upper buttock area and The nerve pain into the hip area and thighs. Is there any suggestions you can provide for treatment besides having another MRI and injections? Would it be possible to get a prescription for a steroid as that has been helpful in the past?

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

Could you clarify what you mean by bull's eye pain?

Do you have low back pain radiating to the legs?

Unfortunately I cannot prescribe on this platform. It's best you consult your GP to arrange a Spine clinic or Pain clinic appointment where this can be arranged.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
