Question: I am having diarrhea every day and am wondering what is causing it

Multiple cause can lead to diarrhea

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am dr. XXXXXXX I will try my level best to address your concerns.

There are multiple reason to have diarrhea as follow
1) Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
2) Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
3) Antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD)
4) Substance misuse
5) Psychosocial stress.

It seem Psychosocial stress to be more likely cause.

Here are few things that will help.

1) Probiotics to restore the normal intestinal flora.
2) Avoid irritant foods and drinks which usually includes dairy, spicy foods, sweeteners, fruit juices, caffeinated beverages (large quantities) and alcohol.
3) Moderate fiber intake as it can aggravate pre-existing diarrhea.
4) Antidiarrheal medication like loperamide is useful for short periods of time but ultimately the cause of the diarrhea needs to be treated.
5) Mostly taking time off and relaxing technique like meditation and physical exercise will help to release stress.
