Hello

Thanks for posting your query.

I can understand your concern.

Dark circles are most of the times long standing and persistent.

There are several reasons as to why dark circles occur:-

1. hereditary
2. less sleep than required
3. working long hours in front of computer screens
4. anatomy where there is slight depression below eyes
5. thin skin

All these various reasons lead to formation of dark circles.

It's difficult to treat it as no treatment is effective enough.

One can try application of creams containing vitamin c, glycolic acid creams, kojic acid creamsetc.

These creams need to be applied for short period of time at night.

I will recommend that you try these and see if it helps.

Also making a few lifestyle changes regarding sleep and computer screens need to be made.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care.

Hello

Thanks for your reply.

I understand your concern.

As I mentioned earlier that dark circles are due to several reasons, one of them is anatomy, if there is a loss of volume in the area below the eyes, kind of a groove forms there , it casts a shadow below the eyes hence the dark circles seem darker than they actually are.

There is a substance called a filler which is injected below the eyes and it fills up the groove and the dark circle looks lighter.

You could visit your dermatologist for this procedure.
There is no surgery for dark circles.

Hope I have answered all your queries.

Take care.
