Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Severe leg pain at your age can be due to -
1. Injury in the area.
2. Muscular pain due to myofascial syndromes.
3. Stress related muscular spasms.
4. Calcium or vitamin D3 deficiency.
A detailed physical examination, X-ray of the affected leg and a few blood tests are needed to diagnose the cause.
Treatment includes
1. Rest to the legs. You can keep them elevated on a pillow.
2. Medical drugs like pain killers - acetaminophen/ibuprofen and muscle relaxants might be helpful.
3. Calcium and vitamin D3 supplements are also recommended.
4. Hot fomentation helps in relieving acute symptoms.

As you try these measures, I also encourage you to consult an orthopedician for both evaluation and to avail stronger prescription medications (if over the counter medications are not helpful).
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
Dr. Praveen Tayal.
