Have oily skin. Suggest face wash, medicines and food diet to follow?

I have oily skin problem Could you please suggest me face wash,medicines or what food should i avoid in daily diet to control my oily skin problem?

To treat your oily skin you may follow these steps
Use a Glycolic or salicylic acid based face wash( melawash, saslic, neutrogena face wash etc) . If in winters skin tends to become too dry with these then you may change it to milder cleansers meant for oily skin like cetaphil os cleanser or Clinique face wash etc.

Even if skin is oily moisturiser is required. So use a water based moisturiser( acne moist, neutrogena, Clinique) ad follow it up with a water based sunscreen.

Oily skin has increased tendency to have clogged pores. So steam your face once in a week and using a comedone expressor remove all comedones and clogged sebum esp over nose, chin, forehead etc.

Exfoliate your skin with scrub atleast twice a week and follow it up with mud mask.

Use adapalene gel or tretinoin gel over face in night. It will reduce oiliness

If possible consult a dermatologist for salicylic acid peels once in a month to reduce the oil secretion.

If with these steps skin still remains oily, you may contemplate taking oral isotretinoin but only with your doctor's permission and prescription as the drug can lead to side effects if not monitored properly.

As far as diet is concerned, it is as such not related directly with sebum secretion that makes skin oily. But still taking adequate amount of water, nutritious diet and exercise is required to have good skin. Dairy products are sometimes implicated in increased susceptibility to have acne or oily skin. So if in your case, if it sounds true you may avoid the same.
