Brief Answer:
Recovery rate depends on the presence of kidney function damage

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service,

I carefully read your query and understand your concern.

Rhabdomyolysis causes a leak of muscle cell contents in the blood, and this may cause strain in the kidneys and kidney failure. The recovery rate depends on the fact if kidney failure has developed or not.

If no kidney failure has developed, the prognosis is very good (a very high percentage of patients fully recover). If kidney failure has developed then long term survival is 80%.

It is also very important to avoid medications that may cause rhabdomyolysis. If you are using any chronic medications you will need to discuss those with your doctor to check if they may cause or worsen rhabdomyolysis and if other more safe alternatives can be used.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
