Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.

Hot flashes in your case is due to menopause. The normal age range for the occurrence of menopause is somewhere between the age of 45 and 55. Symptoms of menopause are irritability and mood swings, hot flashes, night sweating, irregular periods, decreased blood loss during periods, dry vagina, breast heaviness and tenderness and joint and muscle pain.

Hysterectomy does not cause menopause or hot flashes, but if the procedure involved removing the ovaries and the uterus, then hot flashes can result.

You need to consult a gynecologist and start the treatment which consists of :
1)     Hormone replacement therapy
2)     Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors
3)     Isoflavones
4)     Phytoestrogens
5)     Try avoiding caffeine, hot drinks, chocolate, spicy or hot foods and alcohol

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.
