Question: Getting fever and sore throat from yesterday afternoon. The fever remains down only for 5-6 hours after I take paracetamol. In the last few days I was outstation and have eaten outside food and cold water.

Do you have cold and cough or headache?
Continue paracetamol 650 every 6 hourly, do salt water throat gargling, take steam inhalation, have plenty of fluids and take rest for 2 days. If still the symptoms remain same then you'll need a course of antibiotics, I usually prescribe Tab. Amozclav 625 mg in my practice.
