Hello,

Thank you for posting a query here.

Look, from his symptoms, it is clear that he is suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. As you have told that he is going through some stress, then it is obvious the cause behind this problem.

So, for relief, he needs two approaches. One from the gastroenterologist and other from psychiatrist. You can tell his family member to consult with psychiatrist again and to keep following up.

Now, this disease condition is a very chronic disease, which needs more time to get cured.

Secondly, some particular drugs like antispasmodic agents like dicyclomine group of drugs should be considered for him. That will prevent this urge of defecation after taking food. A pantoprazole group of drug should also be considered for him.

He should take a balanced nutritious diet containing high fiber diet. That means, XXXXXXX leafy vegetables are necessary.

A course of lactobacilli XXXXXXX should also be considered. It can reduce this type of symptoms.

Consult with his psychiatrist about tricyclic antidepressant agents.

Lastly, keep following up with the gastroenterologist and psychiatrist and try to keep him out of stress.

Hope, this information suffices. Let me know, if you have any more question.

Regards.
