Since E. histolytica cyst has been detected in the stool, treatment with Metronidazole would be recommended.

Since the oral absorption in children of this age is not predictable (rather erratic) intravenous administration would be advisable (in a hospital setting) for 5 days. However, if that is not feasible, oral Metronidazole can be tried.
