Brief Answer:
unlikely due to weight lifting

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You are concerned that prior to lifting weights your height was 5'3" and no 5'2". This maybe more due to prior incorrect heights or current error in measuring height. The amount of weight you exert on your body from weight lifting will not affect your actual height. As you get older in your 50's and above the disk spaces in your back will start to shrink and deteriorate and then you will loss some height but not now.

So you can continue to weight lift without being concerned about shrinking

Brief Answer:
Loss of height

Detailed Answer:
If you have over exerted yourself with weight lifting you could possibly caused a compression fracture in your back which will cause loss of height. I would recommend getting your height measured regularly once every quarter and see if this is continuing. I would also suggest seeing your medical provider and get a series of back x rays to determine if you did have any compression fractures.
