Does Vaginal Douching With Hot Water Cause Hymen Breakage?
Question: hi doctor, today while taking a shower I just felt pleasure while I was washing my vagina with hot water, I even nearly reached an orgasm with the high flow of water,,, now I want to know may I break my hymen,,as afterwards I also played with it with my finger, and it went deep enough,,,I am also sending you a pictures of my vagina, sorry for inconveniences ,, and thx for the answer

1 Yes I am worried because I didn't want to break it.
2 Half of my forefinger or even a bit more went there.
3 I didn't notice any bleeding but take into consideration that I was taking a shower and maybe water could flow it away.

Thank you for the follow up information. There is absolutely no inconvenience and I am happy to help. First, what you experienced is completely normal. The warm water caused increased blood flow to the clitoral area and the vibration from the water not surprisingly produced the sensation that you experienced.
The hymen is a thin rim of skin just inside the vaginal opening. In some women, it can completely obstruct the opening, but in most cases, there is still an opening to the vagina. This is the case for you as you were able to insert your finger a small amount of the way into the vagina.
With intercourse for the first time, small tears to the hymen are extremely common and they almost always heal. With just a finger inserted, it will almost certainly NOT affect the hymen. Also, IF it did disrupt the hymen, it would continue to bleed even after the shower. Finally, based on the pictures, I believe that they hymen is intact.
The final thing that I will state is that everyone is different anatomically. You CANNOT look at the vagina and determine whether or not someone is a virgin or not in almost all cases. I have answered the question before of persons worried that they would not be perceived as virgins based on disruption of the hymen even though they had never had intercourse.

thank you so much for the answer, and one more thing that forgot to tell, after I inserted my finger there I felt the sensation of burning, it seemed something is burning there, could it be a symptom of the disruption of the hymen? thanks in advance !

I know that the medication I am taking currently is not possible to take while being pregnant (Risperidone 2mg), do you have any idea is it possible to find a medication that can do no harm to the child ? or I have to ask it to a OB/GYN doctor?
