Posted on Thu, 7 Jul 2016
Question: I was having methylprednisolone(tapering dose) from 5, Feb 2016 to 28 Feb 2016. I tested for HIV test on 23 Feb 2016 for a low risk exposure in Jul 2015. It is antigen and antibody test. The result came negative. Then again checked once in april 2016 and may 2016. The results are negative. Will methylprednisolone will have any impact on result or do I need to test again, if so when?

Brief Answer:
Test is conclusive. No HIV

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Low risk exposure almost a year ago confirmed negative for HIV on three different occasions can not be tampered by methylprednisolone so no worries, you don't have HIV. The test is conclusive.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
