default
Posted on Fri, 5 Sep 2014
Question: I am married for the last 2.5 years. For the last 1 year me and wife are trying to have a baby but she is not conceiving. We have done all the checkups of both of us and we both are normal.
My foreskin does not slips back during erection, however I am able to do sexual intercourse with my wife. Please let me know if this foreskin issue will create any problem in having a baby.

Brief Answer:
Phimosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply

1. If foreskin is not going back or there is pain while it goes back might be due to condition phimosis.

2. It can easily be treated by circumcision surgery.

3. Please see a surgeon for examination and need for surgery.

4. This condition fdoes not lead to infertility if you can have intercourse normally.

5. Get your semen analysis also done.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi Doctor,

Thanks for your answer.
Actually, I do not want to inquire about circumcision or Phimosis. Our primary concern is to have a baby. I have done a semen analysis and it was fine. Since we are trying for more than a year, so I was doubtful that this could be the issue. Is it possible that a person cannot become father because the foreskin does not slips back. We are enjoying a normal sex life and our intercourse lasts for around 10 mins. Please answer my question based on that I do not want any operation and Can I become a father if my foreskin does not slips back and my semen analysis is fine.

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Absolutely yes. You can definitely become father even if there is extra foreskin or skin doesn't slip back.

This issue has nothing to do with becoming father. You can definitely become.
