Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
Albendazole is a relatively safe medicine and there's a wide range of doses used in different worms like a single 400 mg dose for hook worms to 400 mg twice a day for 1 month in case of hydatid.
It may produce a skin rash or urticaria in some people . Abdominal pain and nausea are also recognised side effects.

my wife is 50 yrs old I wonder if she may be experiencing symptoms connected with menopause she is bi polar maybe the diagnosis is difficult because the drs are looking at the wrong thing...we as a family had pinworms we were treated with albenza then the kid came home from school with lice gave those to us all a week after the worms... I think that XXXXXXX may be having menopause symptoms as well as all this other stuff she has meds for insomnia, depression and bipolar disorder and is taking them...I am just wondering what type of Dr i need to take her to?

Brief Answer:
Internist preferable

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
May be the best choice would be to see a specialist in Internal Medicine or a good general practitioner who will examine her, do the necessary tests and come to a conclusion.
