Brief Answer:
Large nasal polyp might cause face twitching and not foot twitching or pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXXXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Nasal polyps will never cause twitching of foot muscles or pain. However a nasal polyp, if large then can cause twitching of the face and eye due to pressure on a nerve.

2. It is important to know if you have got a CT or MRI scan brain done and whether there is any large polyp or any other finding which can cause your symptoms.

3. Please share more detail so that I can help you better.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.

I had been having muscle twitching in my toes and eye so my doctor sent me to. Neurologist who had an mri that revealed nasal polyps. He referred me to an ent and put me on a steroid nasal spray and an antiobiotic until my ent appointment.

Brief Answer:
Antibiotics are to cure infection and steroids will reduce size of polyps

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. I have seen the picture and the polyps are indeed large and the eye twitching can be explained. Probably the neurologist has examined you and is treating you for sinus infection. The steroid will help to reduce the size of polyps.

2. There are other conditions like nutritional deficiency and electrolyte imbalance which can cause twitching in more than one region. Therefore if the leg twitching continues then it is important to evaluate in detail.

3. In conclusion, the polyps are not a serious problem but the ENT appointment is important to decide on course of treatment.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
The neurologist knows it is benign polyp

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. The neurologist is aware that the features suggest benign polyps. Cancer is more destructive and this is well defined.
