Does Muscle Tech Supplements Have Any Side Effects?

default
Posted on Tue, 3 Jun 2014
Question: My 16 year old son has been lifting weights regularly. He is now taking these supplements by MuscleTech - they are powder that you mix with water. One is called Analabolic Halo and one is Phase 8. He used to be a very sweet boy - now he is doing poorly in school - his attitude is very disrespectul and cocky. Is it just that he is a hormonal 16 year old or could these products cause these effects or even worse effects? Please help, I am at my wits end.

Brief Answer:
Not caused by these products!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about the change in attitude that your son is manifesting right now. I have reviewed these products and these behavioral concerns are in no way related or caused by these supplements. I am more of the fact that the teenage transition is very much into play.

I will recommend that you have an honest chat with him. Not telling him what is right and what is wrong. Not telling him what to do and what not to do. But, rather letting him know how his behavior has changed over time and is negatively impacting on his performance at school. Using this objective drop in his performance ability at school, he may come to realize that something isn't going on right with him and change.

It would be a difficult task. A progressive, persistent and friendly approach, backed by objectivity may bring him to change. I believe he would realize himself as he grows older but we should intervene and make sure this doesn't play out negatively into his future.

In all, not caused by supplements. Please, talk to him in a friendly and caring manner hoping that he realizes himself and changes.

I hope this helps. I wish him well. Thank you for seeking for our input and do feel free to ask for more information and clarification should need be. Be strong and you would be of great help to him!

Brief Answer:
Yes, they are safe!

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for following up with me.

It is safe to take these supplements. They are nothing but concentrates of what we have in food that is essential for muscle building. Unless he is taking something else, there is just no reason for you to be afraid of right now.

I hope this helps. Feel free to keep the discussion going on.
