Does Marijuana Help In Treating Lupus?

Question: i have a friend with lupus and she stopped taking her medicine, she smokes marijuana everyday for the pain. will smoking marijuana help only the pain or will it also keep organs from failing or any other issues that the medicine may stop

There is no any prove that marijuana has bad nor good effect on SLE course so it will reduce pain and nothing else. Medications used for SLE are antiinflammatory products such as corticosteroids, citostatics or nonsteroid antiinflammatory medications. These medications reduce inflammatory response in our organism and slow down sle progression and sle symptoms. these also prevents some permanent damage to skin, kidneys, lungs or eyes which can be caused by SLE.
