Question: I have active ileitis. Can that cause right side hip and buttock pain, especially at night?

Ileitis involves inflammation of the ileum which is a portion of the small intestine. Symptoms classically associated with ileitis include weight loss, diarrhea, and right iliac or lower middle region of the abdomen being painful.

Hip and buttock pain are not usually associated with ileitis.
