Brief Answer:
Yes. Budecort is the steroid.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for the query.

Yes, budecort is budesonide, it is a corticosteroid.

Levolin does not have any steroid, is is levosalbutamol which is a bronchodialtor.

The dose of budesonide in budecort inhaler is negligible as it is directly inhaled, large doses are not required so a very small dose is prepared in inhalation form.

Both are prescribed for asthma.

I hope this answers your query.

Best regards

My 3 year old has been prescribed budecort 200 once a day for 2 weeks . She doesn’t have asthma but just been down with recurrent viral infection and cough that won’t go away so a pulmonologist has prescribed it . Is it safe or will it lead to asthma in future.
