Question: my doctor has prescribed amlodipine/benazepril for my high blood pressure. will there be a drug interaction if i take baking soda to reduce my swollen feet. my email is YYYY@YYYY

I have reviewed this information fully. There would be no interaction if you do take soda alongside amlodpine/Benazepril to reduce the swelling of your feet. Swollen feet is a side effect of amlodipine and usually regresses as you continue taking the medication. However, I suggest that you don't over focus on taking something for it at this time. Reduce fluids and salt intake will help with this. If you must take soda, there are no documented interactions.
