Does Alcohol Have Any Interaction With Allopurinol Or Colcrys?

Question: I have been takeing Allupurinol and Colcrys for Gout for about two years,I want to cheat and drink a few beers [about 6] I know this is counter productive but I XXXXXXX t drank any beer in two years Can I just stop takeing the medicine for a few days then resume AFTER THE DEED ? Would alcohol react with these medicines

Thanks for the query.
Alcohol has been definitely been linked with gout and it is always better to remain away from alcohol but consuming few drinks or beer doesn't give any interaction with either allopurinol or colcrys.
In my opinion you may have a couple of beers once in a while even while continuing your medications.
There is no need to stop your medications to have few drinks.
Make sure that you don't consume alcohol or beer excessively.
