Does A Hot Tub Bath Post A Bilateral Supartz Injection Lead To Infection?

default
Posted on Fri, 4 Mar 2016
Question: I had bilateral supartz injections to my knees 3 days ago. Can I get into my hot tub now? Is there a risk of infection or would the track caused by the needle be closed now. I worry about that opening up from the hot water and allowing bacteria in. What is your recommendation?

Brief Answer:
No risk of infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.

After two days there is no more risk of infection so it is allowed to have hot-tub baths especially for puncture wound like this.

So you don't need to worry about this.

Wish you good health.
