Does Zopiclone Interact With Energy Drink Resulting In A Stroke?

Question: What would zopiclone and red bull cause?

I had a serious stroke 5 years ago while I was drinking lots of red bull while I was taking zopiclone.

I am recovering now but it was touch and go at first.

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

I do not think Zopiclone and Red bull are responsible for your stroke.

Zopiclone side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, confusion. It is not advised if having to drive or operate some machinery. However it is not a cause of stroke.

As for Red Bull over the years there have circulated articles about its potential risks, including stroke or heart issues. However those claims have never been proven. If one is to consider its ingredients like caffeine, sugar etc if taken in excess they can be unhealthy, but at the end of the day it contains as much caffeine as a cup of coffee and as much sugar as other juices available.
So while not recommended and great quantities should be avoided it doesn't pose significantly more of a risk than other products out there containing. It can't be blamed for your stroke, not alone at least.

I was having about 20 cans per day and taking via XXXXXXX and sniffing poppers as well.
Could doing all this at the same time course a stroke?

Could have to do with it.

20 cans a day are really too much and could have something to do with it. It may have caused heart arrhythmia which in turn can lead to stroke. However one would need to have more information about what your doctors thought was the cause for the stroke (perhaps you could upload the old reports), if the cause was say dissection then they shouldn't be related.

I am not sure what "via Graham" is to be honest so can't provide an opinion about that. As for sniffing poppers it shouldn't have something to do with it although there isn't much research on that regard.

Oh I see. There is a slight risk for vascular events with Viagra, but apart from being small it would apply more to the heart and other territories than the brain. That is because brain vessels are autoregulated and are less affected by changes in other vessels. So I wouldn't blame stroke on Viagra. But I would still be careful with it because if you have blood vessel issues it could have repercussions on your heart.

Since I had my stroke I have lived a clean and healthy life. I was in hospital for a year and then in a rehabilitation centre for another 6 months. When I first had the stroke I couldn't even blink and they gave me the last rights because all the doctors thought I would die. I am 49 now but when I had the stroke I was 45.
