Does Saphris Interact With Seroquil?

Question: I have a question, I have been taking the medication seroquil for 2 years for horrific weight gain. So was prescribed Saphris. What is the interaction of the 2 medications. These medications are prescribed for sleep.

Is it that you are now taking seroquel and saphris both? There is one significant interaction between these two. They can increase qt interval on the ECG which can predispose to heart rhythm abnormalities. So we need to see the ECG periodically.

Apart from these medicines, some other may be helpful for sleep, like zolpidem or lorazepam. You can discuss these with your doc. And last but not the least, natural techniques like mediation and yoga can help a lot.
