Does PSM Toxin Cause Septic Shock Faster In People With Weak Immune System?

default
Posted on Tue, 5 May 2015
Question:
Sory that I missed asked question in time !!

So can you explain little bit more !

You statement -
Whereas, in septic shock death is usually expected before day 28 from the infection. In majority of cases, death takes place within the first week from sepsis.

So comparing these two facts side by side, we can figure out that sepsis/septic shock will spread faster than the PSM toxin itself in healthy people.

So I understand that people wit week immune system and CA MRSA with PSM toxin will develop fast septic shock, while in the same time people with the good immune system and healthy will develop skin infection. So this is proof ?

Do you say it from you experience or from literature ??

Thank you !!

Brief Answer:
My sincere apologies for the delay in my response

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Thank you for writing to me once again.

There is no direct comparison in any literature sir, there are different facts posted in different literatures I have read in the past. Some say that a person with poor or weak immune system can get sepsis/septic shock and die from 1-28 days.

Another fact states that an individual with poor or weak immune system with CA-MRSA with PSM toxin will be more difficult to treat and may even result in fatality in some cases, and in some cases it can result in sepsis as well and can die soon.

Yes, with these different literatures being collaborate we can understand that an individual with a poor or weak immune system and CA-MRSA with PSM toxin can develop sepsis/septic shock; while a person with a better immune system (we cannot call this person a healthy person) with CA-MRSA will develop a skin infection. Yes, this can be considered as proof.

I say this from my experience and a compilation of different random literature and information.

Best wishes sir. :)

Thank for your help !!

I think that you are very professional – and with good analyzing ! A great doctor.

I wrote question to CDC
http://www.cdc.gov/

I think you know this organization!

I wanted a confirmation from them about all doctor opinion whom I have asked – include you.

Did I correctly asked them question?
And what is going to be their opinion, how do you think?

-
I gave question about CA MRSA.

I have visited several infectologist and asked advice to lot of doctors about CA MRSA and PSM toxin !

Every doctor agreed to same statement - explained that fast, rapid septic shock from CA MRSA with PSM can develop in people with week immune system, or persons who seams be healthy but have immune system defects.
And healthy people with good immune system who got CA MRSA with PSM toxin at the same time will develop skin infection, that could be treated in early stage. But if not treated in time it could spread and could cause severe blood stream infection like septic shock if not treated properly in time.

So ass all doctors agreed to that statement it should be true?
Is it ?

Literature -
Some CA-MRSA strains display enhanced virulence, spreading more rapidly and causing illness much more severe than traditional HA-MRSA infections, and they can affect vital organs and lead to widespread infection (sepsis), toxic shock syndrome, and necrotizing ("flesh-eating") pneumonia. This is thought to be due to toxins carried by CA-MRSA strains, such as PVL and PSM, though PVL was recently found not to be a factor in a study by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. It is not known why some healthy people develop CA-MRSA skin infections that are treatable while others infected with the same strain develop severe infections or die.

Brief Answer:
Thank you so much for the kind words sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it.

Yes, your question was spot on! Very good.

I expect them to do a little research and analyse the fact that there are direct publications stating the same, and that their answer should be in agreement with your above stated information, but that they do not have published or documented information to agree with you.

So although our information is correct, they might be hesitant to agree with us due to lack of sufficient published information on the topic. So their response can be tricky, but let us hope for the best. But if at all they agree with this, then ask for documented proof stating the above directly.

You are always welcome, and I am always here to help you sir.

Best wishes.

But if they don’t agree with it exactly as I write – because there is no direct literature about that, as you say their answer could be tricky , I should hold on your and other doctors statements ?

-
But if at all they agree with this, then ask for documented proof stating the above directly.
-

Should I really ask them direct document that prove it because I think they could answered as you on logic situations not from direct literature prove.

Brief Answer:
Yes, but wait for them to agree first

Detailed Answer:
Yes sir.

But first, wait for them to agree. If you as them straight away for proof, then they may become hesitant to agree.

So first wait for them to agree, and then ask them for either a logical explanation with citation or documented and published proof for the same.

Best wishes.
