Question: I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT MORE INFORMATION ON THE DRUG "MEXILETINE" THAT I AM TAKING SUCH AS SIDE EFFECTS AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER DRUGS

Regarding your concern, I would explain that this is a drug used to prevent cardiac arrhythmia.

Its main adverse effects are:

-Nausea (40% of patients )

-Vomiting (40%)

-Heartburn (40%)

-Ataxia (20%)

-Dizziness (20-25%%)

-Lightheadedness (11-25%)

-Tremor (13%)

Other adverse effects which are encountered more rarely are: Coordination difficulties, Palpitations, Hypotension, Angina, Headache, Depression, Xerostomia, Proarrythmia, Rash, Insomnia, Confusion, Chest pain, Abdominal pain, Dyspnea, Constipation or diarrhea, Premature ventricular contractions, Blurred vision, Nystagmus and peripheral edema.

Regarding possible interactions, I would like to know your current therapy, in order to be able to give more information on its interactions with your therapy.
