Question: Hi, the Dr. just started me on Lisinopril a week ago for high blood pressure. I take quite a few natural supplements because I have osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. I take a multi vitamin for women over 50 (I am now 66), and Vitamin D3 (about 2,000 mg daily), low doses of Calcium (as I get some in the foods I eat), magnesium (400 mg), boron (3 mg), vitamin K2 (100 mcg.....this about 3 times weekly), vitamin C (Ester C about 2,000 mg), fish oil, and L-Opti Zinc (30 mg.....also about 3 times weekly). I do not take any extra potassium, as I have heard you shouldn't take too much outside of food. Also I have been taking MSM for about a month to see if it may help with my inflammation and pain, which it seems to have at least somewhat. Will any of these interfere or interact with my Lisinopril? The Dr. looked at it when I was in the Office but didn't say anything one way or the other, so??? Also I do take ibuprofen on occasion, but not really all that regularly (maybe once or twice weekly at about 400 mg...equal to two tablets) The pharmacist said I could take ibuprofen if I took it away from taking Lisinopril, maybe at a different time of day, but I am still afraid to take it for fear of an interaction. Also concerned about the MSM because it is a natural sulfur and natural anti inflammatory and anti pain supplement. I've never been on any regular prescription meds before now, so I do have the 'jitters' on how to do this, and would appreciate some help. Thanks so much!
