Does Chantix Alter Nicotine Test Results?

Question: just typed this and it got kicked back. On XXXXXXX 12th going to be having a total knee. Now Dr. stated he would be doing a nicotine test on me. Since I have been trying to quit, not very well either, I wanted to try chantix. Will it hurt or help my nicotine levels? How fast does nicotine leave the body?
